2010 was a great year for Animal Cracker Conspiracy; Traveling to New York to See Julie Taymor’s Magic Flute, Brian Henson’s Stuffed and Unstrung, and other all-star puppet performances, Sushi’s RED BALL, The preview shows of “The Collector”, our Adult Puppet Cabarets and our work/study trip to Indonesia were all fantastic experiences. Many thanks to the Sator Arts Foundation for supporting “The Collector”
We recieved word in december that the Jim Henson Association approved our grant application for a 2011 seed grant. ACC will be able to further develop and present “The Collector” this spring- stay tuned!
Many thanks to all the new faces who came out to the Adult Puppet Cabarets- our next one will be at the Museum of Photographic Arts on the Prado in Balboa Park January 28th 2011 from 7-11pm presenting Volume 2 of Heather Henson’s Hand Made Puppet Dreams in the theatre with live performances, drinks, interactive elements, and music in the lobby gallery beforehand. Tickets will be $8 and available at the door.
We are also very excited to announce the return of our newly revisioned family show Circus Hilarious (also known as Circus Precarious) which presents some favorite themes: intelligent animals, airplanes, shadow and giant puppets, clowning, and of course Circus. The show will debut at Marie Hitchcock Puppet Theatre in Balboa Park from Wednesday February 9th til Sunday the 13th 2011- Please come out with your family it’s one of the best deals in town with tickets only $3 for children and $5 for adults with discounts for 20 or more. the show runs around 30 minutes and is especially suitable for 4-10 year olds. And of course if you are interested in having us bring the show to your school or event we would be happy to oblige.

Both an adult puppet theatre investigation into the nature of objects and a mythical dystopian tale of illumination.
A.C.C. presents new work for adult audiences- a puppet theatre piece about consumption, human archetypes and the madness incurred by desire of the object- Collaborating with Margaret Noble of Noble Sound, and utilizing Toy Theatre, Tabletop Puppetry, Object manipulation and video collage, A.C.C. explore their own obsession with found and recycled objects and the dystopian underbelly of present day over-consumptive practices.
